Eska โ†’ Palmer ๐ŸŒŠ ๐Ÿ

This is a quiet, but pretty section of the route. It descends from Eska Falls, past the Jonesville Mine in Sutton, which has fossils and underground coal fires that have been burning for 50 years.

After fording Moose Creek, one enters onto the far end of the Palmer Rail Trail, which few locals ever even venture on, along the old railway into Palmer. This is an excellent day to take it easy on a ๐Ÿšฒ and enjoy riding on ultra quiet trails alongside the Matanuska River, finishing at Matanuska River Park, which just hapens to be a 5 minute drive from the Palmer Alehouse. We'll have camp prepped and the van ready for a little side trip to for some ๐Ÿ’ƒ, ๐Ÿบ, and a solid night's sleep before embarking on Section 3.

For some of us, this section is the very most "Palmer" of them all.
